GARY L’HEUREUX
Village President
Gary L’Heureux, incumbent Village President, is running for re-election. He has lived in Midlothian for 30 years with his wife, lifelong resident, Lori. They have raised two sons and have four grandchildren. Gary is an electrician and a member in good standing of IBEW local 134.
– Served on the Village Board as a Trustee since being appointed in 2012 and has served as the Village President since 2017.
– Served as Secretary on Midlothian’s Plan Commission and as Chairman of the Midlothian Community Policing Committee.
– As Village Trustee, has been the liaison to the Police and Fire Departments as well.
Gary will continue to work for the residents to maintain a balanced budget by employing fiscal responsibility and using a common sense approach to village government, and will continue to work towards and encourage progress in the area of flood mitigation. Gary’s recent announcement of the new TIF district in Midlothian’s downtown district will provide the village with a great advantage toward economic development in that area.
Allen Moskal
Village Clerk
Allen Moskal, incumbent Village Clerk, is running for re-election. Allen is a lifelong resident of Midlothian who has served on the village board since 2007, ten years as Village Trustee and the past four years as Village Clerk. Allen has a B.S. Degree in accounting and is a Certified
Public Accountant.
– Served 8 years as Treasurer and 3 years as Co-Chairman of St. Christopher Fiesta and has been a Luminaria volunteer for years.
– Served on the Village Zoning Board of Appeals and helped coordinate the formation of the Community Policing Committee.
Allen will continue to address the issues of updating our outdated Village Code and streamlining the processing of manually intensive transactions handled by the Clerk’s office. Additionally, Allen will continue his work in making improvements to the live streaming and recording of village meetings to make them more accessible to a greater number of residents and implementation of new technologies to improve resident experiences when submitting FOIA requests.
Kathleen “Kathy” Caveney
Village Trustee
Kathleen “Kathy” Caveney is running for re-election. Kathy has lived in Midlothian for 33 years with her daughter Julia. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. She has been Village Trustee since 2017.
– Chairperson of the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission and is currently on the Natalie Creek Trail steering committee and the Keep Midlothian Beautiful committee, and is a member of the Team Floodlothian.
– Worked on the development of the RainReady Midlothian Plan and participated in planting the RainReady Committee Garden.
– Kathy was appointed by the Village Board to be the Community Rating System Coordinator for the Village of Midlothian. Joining FEMA’s CRS program has secured a discount of up to 15% on FEMA flood insurance premiums for properties located in the Special Flood Hazard are in town.
Kathy will continue to institute updated building codes and ordinances, progressive policies, and procedures relative to work place strategies, current technology, and financial reporting.
Jack Hille
For Village Trustee
Jack Hille is a lifelong area resident. His grandparents and father had been longtime Midlothian residents. Jack was born in Midlothian and raised in Oak Forest. He moved back to Midlothian in 2013 to raise his 3 young daughters with his wife Jodi. Jodi’s family are also long time Midlothian residents.
– Currently a Police Sergeant for a local municipality.
– Jack currently is a board member on District #142 School Board.
– Has been a very active fundraiser, chairing the past 3 Mayor’s Golf outings to raise money for our local food pantries.
– Living kidney donor.
– Represented the Village of Midlothian by volunteering the use of his personally owned parade float for parades and birthday and graduation drive-bys.
Jack’s vision is to continue to bring updated infrastructure/technology and community involvement to Midlothian while being fiscally responsible and listening to the concerns of all residents.
Kathleen Johnson
For Village Trustee
Kathleen Johnson has lived in Midlothian for 26 years with her husband Jay, and their son Quinn. She has a B.A. degree in History and Education, and a Master’s degree in Continuing Education and Professional Development. In her professional position,
Kathy is responsible for an annual budget of 1/2 million dollars.
– Since 2018 she has served on the Village of Midlothian’s Plan Commission.
– Has participated for many years in the Adopt-a-Pot program for the Midlothian Beautification Committee.
– Has volunteered for over 15 years at St. Chris’ Fiesta, volunteered as a member of one of the church’s counting team and volunteered for 10 years in the St. Chris School Athletic Program.
Kathy wants to ensure the completion of the MWRD flood mitigation project for the residents in the affected areas and to build upon the open communcation strategies implemented over the last four years to keep residents informed about their village and its activities.
